…Just on for a little bit here. You might/might not see some bits of the 1st draft floating about, since I have a deal with some of my more enterprising students: I’m giving ‘em sneak peeks of the chapters of the 1st draft for every ‘A’ they earn from me, in exchange for feedback.
Things are going well, though. During the time I’m letting the manuscript mellow, I helped shoot a little promo piece for a book called All Things Guy, a book of Catholic Manhood, written by four women.
Four chicks? Seriously, Whiskey-Tango-Hotel?
I’m also pounding out a little project I’ve had running through my head for a while called The King’s Gambit, a novel for younger readers (gr. 3-6) that is best described as Inkheart with Chess, and a little philosophy of the Platonic Forms thrown in for good measure.
God bless,
John McNichol

About The Author
John McNichol was born in Toronto, Candada, at the dawn of the swinging 70s...which explains in part why he's such a fan of the Big 80s!
John lived in Toronto for the first eighteen years of his life, after which he went to school at Franciscan University of Steubenville in Ohio. He met his lovely wife there, and after graduation in 1992 moved to the West coast. Except for a three year teaching gig back in the midwest, he's lived on the Left Coast ever since.
Today, John lives with his wife, Jeanna, their seven children and the Dumbest Dog in the State of Washington in a lovely little house in Vancouver, Washington. He teaches Middle School in the Archdiocese of Portland, and enjoys it tremendously, still.
