Hey, all!
On Saturday, September 12th, at 4:58 pm, I wrote “THE END” at the bottom center line of page 568 of “THE YOUNG CHESTERTON CHRONICLES< VOLUME II: THE EMPEROR OF NORTH AMERICA.”
Now, as per the recommendations of the Eminent bestselling author Stephen King in “On Writing,” I am going to give this pile of dead trees six weeks to mellow while I whale on a different writing project I’ve had running through my head for a while.
After (now, about 5) more weeks I’ll start editing, and see where it goes.
Thanks, folks, and God Bless,
John D. McNichol

About The Author
John McNichol was born in Toronto, Candada, at the dawn of the swinging 70s...which explains in part why he's such a fan of the Big 80s!
John lived in Toronto for the first eighteen years of his life, after which he went to school at Franciscan University of Steubenville in Ohio. He met his lovely wife there, and after graduation in 1992 moved to the West coast. Except for a three year teaching gig back in the midwest, he's lived on the Left Coast ever since.
Today, John lives with his wife, Jeanna, their seven children and the Dumbest Dog in the State of Washington in a lovely little house in Vancouver, Washington. He teaches Middle School in the Archdiocese of Portland, and enjoys it tremendously, still.
That’s great news, John! Congratulations. I’m looking forward to seeing the finished product.
I can’t wait to read the new book!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh goody I found your website XD
My brother and I read the first book, and LOVED it! We now randomly quote it, and all our friends think we are insane. Were trying to make them buy it… then the whole world will be full of Chesterton quoting people. Fun! XD I can’t wait for you to finish this book! Thanks for writing these… We love them!
Hello, Josie. Your comment was very welcome after all the spam I get!
I finished the 1st draft a little over six weeks ago, and according to more experienced writers than I, that’s the right time to begin looking over and editing it. PLease say a little prayer here & there that I do a good job, and maybe this time I’ll get my stuff into the racks at Barnes & Nobel.
I am SO glad you like the books, and are quoting them! One of the big reasons I chose GKC as my main character was that I wanted to see him in the hands of a new generation of Catholics. Folks like yourself & your brother are proving ti can be done.
God bless,
John D. McNichol
